Completed O’ Level with 3 passes
OR
Completed Certificate Level 3 and 3 years of experience in the field.
Additional requirement:
- SMS course or equivalent qualification
- Sound knowledge of Aviation with local and international legislation including ICAO annexes and industry best practices.
- Operational knowledge and experience in the functions of the organization (e.g. training management, aircraft operations, air traffic management, aerodrome operations, and maintenance organization management).
- Sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, English and Dhivehi.
- Ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organization well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised with organizational ability and good analytical skills.
- Leadership skills and an authoritative approach and worthy of respect from peers and management

Responsibilities
|
- Develop, manage, and maintain a safety management system for the control of airside safety risks, including those in relation to staff and passengers.
- Establish, monitor, review and maintain the safety related procedures for passengers, staff, aircraft, and aerodrome facilities. (Manuals and procedures).
- Maintain and manage risk register and hazard logs of all airports managed by RACL.
- Maintain and manage logistics and records of all safety related meetings (Example: LRST, SAGs & SRB).
- Maintain and act as the internal point of contact for the SMS software system -
- Establish systems and maintain in carrying out of safety auditing, operational inspections, and safety related documentation.
- Analyze feedback from auditing and inspections to make appropriate changes to airside safety management procedures and their implementation.
- Monitor airside planning and development for compliance with aerodrome safety policy by ensuring adequate systems, procedures and resources are in place for the planning, co-ordination, control, and oversight of work in progress.
- Establish systems to assess the safety performance of internal and external staff working airside.
- Develop and maintain a health and safety culture at all levels within the organization.
- Ensure that staff are fully aware of the SMS [and promoting] safety policy and safety objectives.
- Convey safety-critical information raise awareness of new safety risk controls and corrective actions.
- Plan to create awareness for newly developed or amended safety procedures.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage personnel to identify and report hazards.
- Create and publish safety reports.
- Provide feedback to personnel and submitting safety reports on what actions have been taken to address any concerns identified
