Tsunami Harbour Reconstruction Project Phase II

The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the services of an Auditor for the ‘Tsunami Harbor Reconstruction Project Phase 2 – Construction of 10 Harbor’ Project.

The overall responsibilities of the Auditor include, but are not limited to the following:- 

• Provide an independent professional opinion on the financial position of the Project as at 28^th February 2019; and ensure that the funds granted to the Project have been used for their intended purposes.
• Audit of Project’s Financial Statement and preparation of its reports

The Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure now invites interested eligible individual (Maldivian National) consultant and/or (Maldivian National) consultant companies to indicate their interest in providing audit services. Interested consultants who have experience of auditing, specifically preparation of audit reports for at least one (1) project funded by a Multilateral Development Bank or any International Organization must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, audit accreditation and or certification of local Government, etc.) 

Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications and clearly specify the type of association (a joint venture or sub consultancies) as well as  the nature of its business (commercial or not for profit) 

A certified Maldivian National consultant will be hired to undertake the preparation of the project’s final financial audit report. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (Current Edition).
