Background

 

Maldives Pension Administration Office (Pension Office) recognizes the importance of a sound information strategy and information risk management framework to effectively manage processes that support key functions of Pension Office. Since the establishment, Pension Office has greatly used technology for providing efficient and effective service to its customers, as such during the year 2017 Pension Office moved the entire IT infrastructure and information systems to Google Cloud Platform. As a result, Pension Office has become the first organisation using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), in the Maldives. 

To assist in the overall decision-making process of the Board, the Board has decided to formulate a sub-committee of the Board by the name of “Innovation and Technology Committee” (ITC). ITC is established to advice Board on overall context of the IT strategy and IT related risks to the organization.

 

Objective

 

Due to the high dependability on technology the Board of Pension Office established the ITC which would consist of two Board members, CEO of Pension Office and an IT consultant to give expert opinion and advice on the IT strategies proposed by the management,  technology initiatives, review the IT control environment and operational risk management processes, cyber security initiatives and monitoring and evaluation of the IT strategy.The consultant will review the documents provided by the management and provide input to the committee regarding the IT initiatives which will be taken to the Board for approval.

 

Qualification

 

  • Masters degree in the area of Information Technology or equivalent.

  • At least 10 years of professional experience with demonstrated contributions in the area of Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in executive level in the area of Information Technology.

 

Services and Fee

 

The IT Consultant is expected to attend the committee meetings, review documents and provide input to the committee and to the Board as required.  

The ITC is expected to meet at least quarterly, additional meetings maybe called for as and when required.

A sitting fee of MVR 3000.00 to 5000.00 per meeting will be paid based on qualification and experience.

The Pension Office invites interested eligible individual candidates (Maldivian only) to submit their applications. Interested candidates must provide CV including information that demonstrates that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.) based on the TOR.
