SAARC cultural center on SAARC Sculpture Symposium 2018 will be held on the 2^nd week of November of this year at Pakistan. This symposium focuses on the creating of sculptures along with a workshop and discussion with experts in the field with interactive sessions.
The SAARC Cultural Centre proposes that the SAARC Sculpture Symposium 2018 will be held for approximately four (4) days, in an accessible, vibrant and inspirational city in the host Member State of Pakistan.
The sculptures nominated from the SAARC Member States will work on sculptures based on the theme of ‘Sculpture Symposium – A Sojourn and Synergy’. Sculptures could be expressed as free standing dimensional images that give a 360-degree view to give a unique art experience, whilst high and low relief sculptural panels can add narrative essence to the artistic expression.

Nomination Procedure and Deadline

-Participants must send their names with the relevant biographical information and contact details.

-The biographical information of participant should include;

-Experience in the field of sculpture

-High resolution (minimum 300dpi) photograph of the participant

-3-5 high resolution (minimum 300dpi) images of work produced by participant

-Contact details of participant

* The deadline for applications is 13:30hrs of Tuesday, 18th September 2018.

Regarding logistical support:

-Participants will have to bear the cost of airfare.

-All local hospitality including accommodation, meals and local transfers, will be provided by the SAARC Cultural Centre for the officially nominated participants from the honored Member States, for the official duration of the Programme;

-General materials, such as clay, plaster, wood, stone, fibre or missed media will be provided by the SAARC Cultural Centre. However, the nominated Artists are encouraged to bring any relevant specific tools and specialist materials that they may require for use during the course of the SAARC Sculpture Symposium 2018.

-A detailed Logistic Paper for the Host Member of Pakistan will follow shortly.
