REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
EXIT STRATEGY CONSULTANT
The National Disaster Management Centre is seeking an exit strategy consultant for the project “Scaling up the National Capacity for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in the Maldives Project”. This project aims to support the Government of Maldives for its enactment and operationalization of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) legislation, strengthening of early warning operating procedures, increasing public awareness and knowledge on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, and increasing community capacity for disaster preparedness.
The objective of this assignment is to develop an Exit Strategy and funding mechanisms for continuation the project outcomes. The Terms of reference for this assignment will be available for download along with this advertisement.
Key qualifications of the individuals who apply for the position are:
i. Minimum University Degree in Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Management and climate change or Public Administration or Management
ii. Minimum five (5) years of work experience in related field.
This consultancy is for a period of 7 weeks and the successful individual must be available to commence the assignment in May 2018.
