Purpose:

The Art Competition is for young students/artists interested in revealing their artistic talents through photography, art & digital illustration. This contest is designed to encourage members to promote Cultural Heritage of the Maldives in an artistic form.

Eligibility:

Participant age must be 13 and above

Rules:

1. There shall be three categories:

            -Digital illustrations

            -Paintings

            -Photos

2. Artwork must be an original piece, completed solely by the participant.

3. Artwork must be related to the theme “ Our Identity – Our Heritage”

4. Specifications for the contest are to be followed.

5. Artwork should be between A4 size and A2 size

6. Must have description tag attached to the back (Using 100 words or less, the artist must describe how the artwork represents the theme “ Our Identity – Our Heritage”

7. Artwork can be landscape, portraits, still life, abstract, etc.

8. Submitted artwork is subject for use by the Department of Heritage

Prize:

Each category will have a 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place.

1^st place – Hands-on experience with Oxford Heritage Survey team and MVR1500 worth gift hamper

2^nd place – Visit to Ha.Utheemu Ganduvaru for 2 persons.

3^rd Place – MVR 500 worth Art Supplies.
