INVITATION FOR BIDS   

1.The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received financing from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract for the following projects. Part of this grant will be used for payments under the contract named below. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure  (the Employer), invites bids from local and international eligible and qualified bidders for the Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi Harbor Expansion Project.

3.International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.

4.The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500/- (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred or equivalent in US dollars) for the project from 15th April 2018 to 24^th May 2018 between 0830hrs and 1200hrs (During Ramazan: 1030hrs to 1230hrs) on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents and any information that shall be delivered to the prospective bidders, shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

5.The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of USD 180,000.00(Hundred Eighty Thousand US dollars or equivalent in Maldivian Rufiyaa- MVR) for the project. The Bid security shall be valid for 208 days from the date of bid opening.

6.A pre-bid meeting will be held on 2^nd May 2018 1000 hrsMaldivian time at the National Tender Meeting Room of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury. Any clarifications to the project may be sent to the address in clause 8 of this invitation for bids on or before 1400 Hours Maldivian Time on Sunday, 6th May 2018.

7.Bids shall be valid for a period of 180 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the    Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 8 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian Time on 27^th May 2018, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
