Request for Expressions of Interest

Exit Strategy Consultant

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) is implementing Climate Change Adaptation Project (CCAP) administered by the World Bank, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this project to payments under the contract for the services of Exit Strategy Consultant.

The objective of this assignment is to develop an Exit Strategy and funding mechanisms for continuation of Staffing and operations of the PAMU and facilities; Staffing, maintenance, supervision of the Coral Database system, including support for users and further mainstreaming; Operations and extension services for solid waste management; including focus on women’s participation and empowerment, Continuation of LGA training, and Maldives National University, delivery and studentships.

 

Key qualifications of the individuals who apply for the position are:

i.            Minimum University Degree in Environmental Management, Public Administration or Management

ii.            Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in related field.

The Ministry of Environment and Energy now invites interested eligible individuals to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI). Interested individuals must provide their CV with information demonstrating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.) covering the Key Qualifications listed above.

A candidate will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011, Revised July 2014.

This consultancy is for a period of 12 weeks and the successful individual must be available to commence the assignment in August/September 2017.
