REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST   

TO ESTABLISH POWER INTERCONNECTION NETWORK VIA CHINA-MALDIVES FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MALDIVES

1. The Government of Republic of Maldives is seeking interested parties to establish a power interconnection network to supply electricity via Male’, Hulhule and Hulhumale’. The successful party shall engage in the build and finance of the infrastructure under a contractor financing model.

2. This interconnection network should be capable of providing electricity using existing power infrastructure in above named islands.

3. Firms or Consortia with a proven track record and financial capability, or Joint Venture with a Financial Services Firms, or vice versa, are eligible to submit the “Expression of Interest”

4. Interested parties should therefore, submit “Expression of Interest” in writing to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury with the following information.

a) Company Profile

b) Procurement, installation of high voltage power cables and substations

c) Demonstrate ability to obtain funding for the project

d) A brief description of the proposed plan

5. Short listed parties among those who response to this call shall be invited to submit a detailed proposal at later stage.

6. The expression of interest must be delivered to the address below not later than 1300hrs Local Time on April 03, 2017, (Monday). Mode of delivery may be regular mail or email.
