INVITATION FOR BIDS
Construction of L. Isdhoo Dhanbidhoo Causeway
1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure (the Employer), did not receive sufficient response for the subjected project (Ref No. (IUL) 13-K1/13/2016/156). Now re-invites sealed bids from local and foreign Contractors for invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the L. Isdhoo Dhanbidhoo Causeway.
2. The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy one of the following grades in order to be eligible to participate in this tender.

3. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500/- (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) from12th January 2017 to 19th January 2017between 0830hrs and 1330hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv
4. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 60,000/- (Maldivian Rufiyaa Sixty Thousand)which shall be valid for 148 days from the date of bid opening. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.
5. Any clarifications to the project may be sent to the address in clause 7 of this invitation for bids on or before 1200 Hours Maldivian Time on Thursday, 19th January 2017.
6. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 7 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1000 hrs Maldivian Time on 24th January 2017, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
