The Government of Maldives (“GOM”) represented by the Ministry of Tourism (“MOT”) invites eligible investors, local or foreign to register their interest within 10 (ten) days by submitting a letter to develop Guraidhoo Island and Kashidhoo Island in Laamu atoll as a tourist resort.

Composition of the letter:

1. Letter of interest indicating:

           Details of the individual or company or consortium including individual or company profile including Name, title address and telephone number.

2. Requesting individual or company must accept to pay the acquisition cost of the island.
3. The development of the resort should be completed by the end of June 2018.

Date of Closure for Receipt of Expression of Interest:

1. The Date of Closure for submission of EOI  is 2^nd  June 2016,  at 1330 hours

Evaluation Process

1. Upon receipt of the expression of interest, a preliminary evaluation based on the background and capacity of the parties will be conducted by the Ministry. If the government shall decide to proceed with the development of tourist resort with the nominated EOI proponents, the opportunity to submit proposals shall be issued.
