INVITATION FOR BIDS

1. Waste Management Corporation Ltd (WAMCO) invites sealed Bids from interested and eligible Bidders for the above mentioned tender. This Invitation for Bid is open for both local and international Bidders.

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested and eligible Bidders from WAMCO’s head office in Male ‘from 10^th April 2016 to 14^h April 2016, between 09:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$32.00 (United States Dollars Thirty Two only) or MVR 500.00 (Five Hundred Maldivian Rufiyaa only) in cash or telegraphic transfer directly to our head office. Overseas Bidders shall pay an additional fee if they require the documents to be delivered to their mailing address. Only Bidders who purchase the Bidding document can participate and thus the document is not transferable.

3. The Bid Validity shall be minimum Thirty (30) days from the date of Bid opening. The Performance Security shall be 5 % of the Bid Price. The Performance Security shall be either a bank guarantee letter (as per the format in the bid document), bank certified cheque or bank draft. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided.

4. A pre-bid meeting shall be held on Sunday, 17^th April 2016 at 10:00hrs local time at  

    WAMCO Head Office, 3^rd Floor meeting room.

5. All Bids shall reach WAMCO head office on or before Sunday, 24^th April 2016, at 10:00 hrs.

6. The Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelope and addressed as follows:

WAMCO shall not be liable for the misplacement or premature opening for the unlabeled sealed Bids.

7. Bids shall be opened on Sunday, 24^th April 2016, at 10:00 hrs, at WAMCO Head Office, 3^rd Floor meeting room, in the presence of those Bidders or Bidder’s representatives who wish to attend the session.

Important Note: It is in WAMCO’s discretion to reject/cancel any bid which does not fulfil or comply the above terms, at any time during the bid evaluation process. Also it is in WAMCO’s discretion to cancel this invitation to bid at any time.
