Open Application – Vacancy Announcement

Applications are invited from the qualified and experienced professionals for the following positions: Speech Therapist, Behavioral Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Psychotherapist.

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the link provided in this advertisement.

Successful applicants will be appointed to hospitals and health centres operating under the Ministry of Health of the Maldives.

Required number of health professionals

Minimum Criteria and Qualification:  

Speech Therapist:

• Degree in Speech Therapy with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Behavioral Therapist:

• Degree in Behavioral Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis, including a clinically supervised practicum, with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Occupational Therapist:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with 02 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Psychotherapist:

• Master’s Degree in Counselling or Psychotherapy with 07 years of work experience in the related field.
• IELTS (General: overall score 5.5 or above) or OET (C or above) with 02 years’ validity.
• Age: Below 40 years.

  Police Clearance Certificate (03 months validity, to be submitted upon arrival)

 Other Information  

• Medical Benefits: Ministry of Health will bear the cost of premium for enrolment in a health insurance scheme as decided by MOH. 
• Visa: Visa fees will only be paid to the employee. 
• Police Clearance Certificate: All candidates must have the police clearance certificate (Minimum 3 months’ validity) upon signing the contract 

Special Note

• Selected candidates shall be required to undertake a competency examination conducted by the Faculty of Health Sciences and must successfully pass both the examination and the Maldives Allied Health Council interview to obtain the Letter of Appointment, if applicable.
• Applications submitted by qualified candidates will be subject to verification. Eligible applicants will be notified accordingly and scheduled for interviews at intervals of every ten (10) days until the application deadline.
