The Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

  • Conduct technical skill development sessions for MSFD staff, focusing on evidence-based policy design, data analysis and research methodologies.
  • Develop materials and training modules for new and existing staff.
  • Compile a centralized digital repository of Ministry reports, research, and policy documents.
  • Organize and digitize archival records for easy access and reference.
  • Create standardized templates for policy briefs, research papers, and literature reviews.
  • Conduct literature reviews on social policies in the Maldives, focusing on social cohesion and community development
  • Guide Ministry staff in drafting research papers, ensuring methodological rigor and actionable insights.
  • Supervise the production of a research paper on early findings from workplan implementation.
  • Assist in the rollout of new policies, including developing implementation roadmaps, and adapting workplans based on feedback.
  • Advise on public sensitization campaigns.
  • Support community-led pilot programs to test low-cost, high-impact interventions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Master’s Degree in Health, Social Sciences, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or program management, especially within large organizations or government institutions.
  • Proven experience in developing data collection tools and results-based Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks, specifically for large-scale projects or government agencies.
  • Strong understanding of evaluation methodologies for social policy or public sector programs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software such as R or Python for effective data management.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI to present complex data in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing detailed and comprehensive reports suitable for publication.

The Ministry of Social and Family Development now invites interested individuals qualified for the assignments to submit Expression of Interest inclusive of the following documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the assignment.

  1. Cover Letter for Expression of Interest.
  2. CV including information that demonstrates that the candidate is qualified to undertake the scope of work
  3. Copy of National Identification Card
  4. Work experience documentation. (Description of similar assignments, and experiences in similar field of work).
  5. Coppies of attested academic qualifications certificate accridet by Maldives Qualification Authority
  6. Reference letters from current and or previous employers.

Job Deadline
