The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Maldives serves as the principal government authority responsible for overseeing the nation’s transport and civil aviation sectors. Committed to ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation across land, sea, and air, the Ministry plays a vital role in connecting communities across the nation. Considering growing public interest in government policies and implementing different projects, there is an increasing imperative to strengthen the Ministry’s communication and public relations functions. Enhancing these capabilities is essential to ensure effective public engagement, coordinated media outreach, and greater transparency regarding initiatives. To support these objectives, the Ministry intends to engage a qualified Public Relations Consultant. The Consultant will be responsible for leading strategic communication efforts, fostering productive media relations, and improving public awareness and understanding of the Ministry’s policies, projects, and ongoing developments.

 

The Public Relations Consultant will be selected based on the following criteria.

The Ministry invites interested individuals to submit Expression of Interest inclusive of the following documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the assignment.

  1. Cover Letter for Expression of Interest (EOI)

 

  1. Copy of National Identification Card

 

  1. CV including information that demonstrates that the candidate is qualified to undertake the scope of work
  2. Work experience documentation. (description of similar assignments, and experiences in similar field of work)
  3. Copies of attested academic qualifications

 

  1. Reference letters from current and/or previous employers

 

  1. For candidates currently working at a government institution, a No Objection Letter from the current workplace should be provided.
