INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION

Provision of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities in Gn. Fuvahmulah, Maldives

1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) (the employer), has received financing from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) towards the cost of the following services: Provision of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities in Gn, Fuvahmulah, Maldives, and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this project to eligible payments under these contracts.

The employer intends to pre-qualify contractors for the following works under this project:

• Construction of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities.

2. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy now invites interested eligible contractors to submit their proposals according to the pre-qualification document.

3. A complete set of the pre-qualification documents in electronic format may be obtained from Tender Evaluation Section of Ministry of Finance and Treasury, from14^th September 2015 to 8^th October 2015between 0830hrs and 1430hrs on all working days, upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa Thousand Five Hundred). It is also published in the Ministry of Finance and Treasury’s website www.finance.gov.mv

4. Bidders may choose to form joint ventures in order to enhance their qualification. A margin of preference will be applicable to applicants of the Republic of Maldives and the State of Kuwait.

5. Further information can be obtained by submitting a written request to the below address no later than 29^th September 2015 on or before 1500hrs.

6. Submission of applications for pre-qualification shall be in English and must be received in a sealed envelope marked “Application for Pre-Qualification for Provision of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities in Gn.Fuvahmulah, Maldives” to Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified above in Clause 5 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian time on 11th October 2015, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
