1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Atoll Education Development Project - AEDP (P177768), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward the contract for refurbishment of Refurbishment of facilities for Science, ICT, STEM and Skill laboratories in Kalaafaanu School.
2. The announcement published on 10 April 2025 has been cancelled due to no bids being received. A new announcement is now open for interested vendors.
3. The Ministry of Education of the Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Refurbishment of facilities for Science, ICT, STEM and Skill laboratories in Kalaafaanu School.
4. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, November 2020 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5. All interested bidders are required to register via theBid Registration Form Link: forms.moe.gov.mv, on or before 20^th May 2025, by 1200 Hours. Only registered bidders are eligible to submit the bid.
6. The information session will be held at Kalaafaanu School on 21^st May 2025, at 1100 Hours.
7. The bidding document in English can be downloaded by interested Bidders from the Gazette page as well as upon the submission of a written application to the address below.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 2^nd June 2025, 11:00 Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 2^nd June 2025, 11:00 Maldives Time. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand).
