Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is an ISO and OHSAS Certified multi-disciplinary Engineering and Manufacturing organization mainly involves in providing Utility and Manufacturing related products and services to the Maldives.

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt Ltd is desirous in employing a Contractor for the work of Docking and Servicing of MWSC Marine 4.

Scope of Work

Male’ Water & Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. is desirous in employing a CONTRACTOR for the work of Docking and Servicing of MWSC Marine 4. The scope of work includes;

• Cargo storage - Grind all the bulkheads of the storage hatches, laminate bulkhead joints, and clean up the compartments for fungus. Apply gel coating on stringers and frames, including foam filling for necessary frames and stringers.
• Engine Room - Cracks on bottom deck stringers, frames, and main beams need to be repaired by laminating with gel coat, and the engine room hatch cover needs modification. Clean and properly laminate bulkheads and other areas with fungus.
• Hull & Structure - Strengthening and repairs required. Putty filling to the cracks and scratches, chips and cracks, sanding complete hull side above water level and spray gel coat to and sanding for finishing and wet sanding for smoothness and polishing. Cleaning and painting the hull using fiber gel paint and anti-fouling. (two coats primer and two coats antifouling)
• Renewal of light blue coloured gel of hull. Sand and polish for finishing included (Above antifouling line - water above area)
• Main Deck - Entire main deck to be ground and re-laminated with 4 layers and finished with gel coat. Gunwale to be repaired with woodworks and followed by related FRP works. Apply anti-skid paint as required.
• Replacement of all bollards on the vessel.

Qualification Information & Requirement

Interested and competent contractors wishing to carry out the above project must submit the following documents.

• Business Registration Certificate at Economic Ministry
• Mira Tax Clearance (within 6 months)
• GST Registration
• The vendor must have an own dockyard or must have a valid agreement with a dockyard to use the dockyard and its facilities.
• Vendor must have been in service of docking for at least 5 years.
• Vendor must provide MWSC officials access to dockyard at any time for inspections.
• Vendor must take responsibility for any damages caused to any of our vessels, staffs or equipment due to vendor’s negligence or carelessness.
• Vendor must possess all equipment’s and machineries required to attend the repair works mentioned in the scope of work.

a)      Fiber Gel

b)      Winches or equivalent safety equipment to slip the vessels

c)      Carpentry for wood works spraying and applying equipements

d)      Generators to Power up the vessel

e)      Balloons for slipping the vessel

f)       Excavator

g)      Material Fabrication services

• While painting the following coating must be applied.

a)      Primer red oxide – 2 Coats

b)      Anti-fouling – 2 Coats

c)      Finishing Gel -  2 Coats (Light Blue)

• Colour codes to apply for the finishing paint layer will be selected by MWSC.
• Apart from above, contractors may submit any documents, information that may be necessary to prove their qualification for the work.

Those who wish to participate in the tender must pay a non-refundable participation fee of MVR 500. Interested candidates shall register for the tender through MWSC website https://www.mwsc.com.mv/tenders and fill out the tender form to proceed with the payment for registration. Payment must be made on or before 09^th March 2025.

Each bidder shall furnish a bid security in the amount of MVR 10,000/-. Successful bidder shall furnish to the Employer a performance Bank Guarantee in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract sum within Fourteen (14) days of receipt of the notification of award from the Employer.
