APPOINTMENT OF LAWYER TO THE AD-HOC COMMITTEE OF THE BADMINTON ASSOCIATION OF MALDIVES
Introduction
A qualified lawyer is required to serve on the Ad-hoc Committee of the Badminton Association of Maldives. The selected lawyer will offer essential legal advice, guidance and assistance in ensuring the committee adheres to the Ad-hoc Committee’s mandate. To maintain transparency and impartiality, the lawyer must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Criteria
• Registered with the Bar Council of Maldives
Must be a registered lawyer with the Bar Council of Maldives, in good standing with no disciplinary record. Must be currently practicing law in the Maldives and hold a valid license to provide legal services.
• Professional Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably with expertise in governance, corporate law or sports law.
• No Prior Official Role or Affiliation
Should have no prior official role, membership, direct or indirect involvement with the Badminton Association of Maldives or any relevant affiliated body, ensuring neutrality and preventing conflicts of interest.
• No Conflict of Interest
Must not have any financial, professional, or personal interests that may compromise their objectivity in committee decisions.
• Ethical and Professional Conduct
Must adhere to high ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality in all committee-related matters.
• Availability and Commitment
Must be available to attend committee meetings and provide legal guidance as needed throughout the committee's tenure.
The lawyer will be instrumental in ensuring legal compliance and supporting fair decision-making within the Ad-hoc Committee.
