REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
(Project Number: TES/2025/G-001)
1. The Ministry of Finance and Planning wishes to extend the Request for Expression of Interest, ref. number (IUL)13-K/13/2025/21 (9th February 2025) and invites interested proponents to indicate interest in the Installation of 100MW-150MW Solar PV Power Generation Plant under Design, Built, Finance, Own, Operate and Transfer basis. This is in light of the significant number of inquiries and the strong interest received, the Ministry has decided to extend the deadline for queries and the final submission of the Expression of Interest (EOI) to ensure that all queries are addressed and sufficient time is given to all parties to prepare the required documentation.
2. The Government intends to implement a 100 MW to 150 MW solar project in the Greater Male’ region. This project, which includes battery storage to balance Solar PV supply and demand within the grid, is expected to contribute to the national electricity feed. It will encompass the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the facility.
3. More detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) will be available on the Ministry’s website www.finance.gov.mv from 10th February 2025. Interested proponents may obtain further information by writing to the address below. It is the proponent’s responsibility to verify the website for the latest information related to this Project.
4. Any clarifications regarding the project should be sent to the address below on or before 13:00 Hours Maldivian Time on Tuesday, 4th March 2025.
5. The Expressions of Interest (EOI) must be delivered in a written form to the address below (in person, or by mail, or by e-mail) by 1300 hours (Local Time) on 13th March 2025.
