REQUEST FOR BIDS
Supply, Delivery and Installation and commissioning of Additional Equipment for “Thimaaveshi”Monitoring and Research Vessel

The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Tourism and Environment invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply, Supply, Delivery and Installation and commissioning of Additional Equipment for “Thimaaveshi”Monitoring and Research Vessel.
This tender comprises of the following LOTS. Bidder Shall quote the prices for both lots;
Lot 1: Supply and Delivery of the equipment’s for “Thimaaveshi-Monitoring and Research Vessel”- Funded by the world Bank
Lot 2: Installation of equipment in the vessel “Thimaaveshi- Monitoring and Research Vessel” and Commissioning - Funded by the Government of the Maldives
Bidding document (Technical Specification, Instructions) shall be available to download in electronic format in the gazette along with the Invitation.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bid Registration
Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 14:00hrs of 3rd March 2025 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.
Bid Security
The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 20,000 (Twenty Thousand). The bid security shall be valid for 128 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bidder may submit a bid securing declaration instead of bid security. “Form for Bid Securing declaration” attached in 63rd page of the bidding document shall be filled, Signed and submitted.
Pre-bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in Saafu raajje building on 11:00am of February 27th 2025. Bidders who have not registered, may obtain further information by writing to the address below on or before 1300 Hours Maldivian time on February 26, 2025
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the Saafu Raajje building, Ministry of Tourism and Environment before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time) on 12 March 2025 Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 12th March 2025 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
