Job Title: Assistant Manager, Loan Documentation

Job Description

Document Verification and Management

  • Review offers/rejections letters and facility documents issued upon approval.
  • Ensuring facility acceptance documents maintained in proper registers.
  • Verify agreements related to all facilities before/after signing to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures including shariah governance framework.
  • Identify revisions to facility and legal documents/templates for offering new products and coordinate with relevant departments for the revisions.

Overseeing the Mortgage Process

  • Attending court for signing agreements.
  • Monitor the mortgage registration process for new facilities, including follow-up with relevant authorities on late mortgages.
  • Ensuring the legal pockets are maintained timely and report the status of titles to line manager monthly.
  • Maintain mortgage registers, security and title documents.
  • Monitor and oversee the Mortgage cancellation process for settled/closed facilities.
  • Prepare and present relevant reports to management.

Disbursement and target Monitoring 

  • Oversee the disbursement process of new and existing facilities.
  • Review disbursement requests coordinate with relevant units and departments for timely processing of disbursement requests.
  • Monitor and ensure monthly disbursement targets are reached with regular updates to the management.

Management of Insurance/takaful process

  • Oversee the overall process of obtaining insurance/takaful policies on behalf of HDFC customers.
  • Maintain insurance/takaful register and database.
  • Monitor and oversee cancellation of insurance/takaful policies.
  • Obtaining renewal of insurance/takaful policies in timely manner.
  • Prepare and present relevant insurance/takaful reports to management.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Business Administration a related field.
  • Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong document verification, management, and compliance expertise.
  • Knowledge of mortgage registration, insurance/takaful processes, and disbursement management.
  • Proficiency in maintaining databases and preparing operational reports.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Salary: Salary ranging from MVR 23,000 to 25,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Working Hours: The selected candidate will be required to work from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs. from Sunday – Thursday.
