Research Supervisor (Medicine)

Work Site: School of Medicine, MNU

Consultation Duration: Based on the Deliverables (Maximum 6 months from contract agreement)

Consultation Fee: 80 MVR per completed cycle (1 participant is expected to have at least 1 cycle of assessments): total 400 participants (200 participants each phase: total of 2 phases)

Education and Experience: 

  • MBBS/MD -Should have a master’s degree (MNQF level 09) in any specialty of medicine after completing MBBS or equivalent degree.
  • Previous experience in conduction of research projects, supervision of projects.
  • 05-years work experience in academia, research or projects.
  • Desirable: Previous experience with dementia research, patient management or national level projects.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and support work of enumerators and research officers.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with clinicians, enumerators and research officers, to obtain full profile of the participants, in line with the research objectives.
  • Ensure that data sheets pertaining to participants are complete at the end of their respective cycles.
  • Manage incidental situations that may arise.
  • Maintain confidentiality with professionalism and within research ethics.

       Phase 1

  • Includes 200 participants
  • Expected to be completed within 3 months.

       Phase 2

  • Includes 200 participants
  • Expected to be completed within the next 3 months.
