Competition Director (Full Time)

Job Title:

To lead and oversee the Competition Department.

Job Summary:

Negotiable

Salary:

Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field or Minimum 15 years of experience in administration or management.  Additional Certification in Sports or Football Management are highly desirable.

Educational Qualification:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale events & programs.
  • Prior involvement with international football bodies such as FIFA or AFC, or with National Associations and Clubs are preferred.  

Experience:  

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Competition department respect of annual fixture compilation and daily administration of all the Tournament’s events Organized by FAM.
  • To plan, prepare and compile fixture schedules for the Tournament’s events Organized by FAM.
  • Management and administration of The Central League and Youth Alliance competitions in conjunction with the Competitions Director.
  • Day to day liaison with the Relevant Department regarding the effective dissemination of information to Clubs and other stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and assistance to Supporters Services as and when required regarding supporter queries.
  • Provide support and advice to Clubs on fixture and competition rules and regulations.
  • To assist the General Secretory in all aspects.
  • To Manage and lead the Competitions Department day to day meetings when required.
  • To provide support as required to the Competition Department to ensure a consistent and timely approach to all relevant tasks.
  • To maintain a professional, business-like approach when representing FAM with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring the reputation of the FAM is maintained and enhanced at all times.
  • Any other duties as identified by the General Secretary. In addition, to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected and to maintain professional conduct at all times.

  • Reports to the General Secretary and collaborates with all department heads.
