The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy has received financing from The World bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract for the project Supply, Delivery and Installation of Fire Detection and Protection System for Fuel Farm for Regional Waste Management Center-R.Vandhoo
The Ministry invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders.
A complete set of bidding documents (Technical Specification, Drawings, Safeguard documents) shall be available to download in electronic format in the gazette along with the Invitation.
Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bid Registration
Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 14:00hrs of 19th January 2025 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.
Bid Security
The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 20,000 (Twenty Thousand) or equivalent in USD for the project. The bid security shall be valid for 118 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bidder may submit a bid securing declaration instead of bid security. “Form for Bid Securing declaration” attached in 61st page of the tender document shall be filled and submitted.
Pre-bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in Saafuraajje building on January 12th, 2025. Bidders who have not registered, may obtain further information by writing to the address below on or before 1300 Hours Maldivian time on January 17, 2025.
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the Saafuraajje building, Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy, before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time) on 23rd January 2025. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 23rd January 2025 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
