Executive Associate, Membership & Licencing

CA Maldives is the statutory body mandated with regulating and developing the accounting profession of the Maldives. The institute is also mandated with developing accounting and auditing standards applicable for private sector and issuing licence to provide audit and assurance services in the Maldives. The Institute was established on 8th September 2020, following the ratification of the Maldives Chartered Accountants Act (13/2020), by the President.

The Institute is looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to provide administrative support in membership and licensing operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning of the Institute.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Process CA Maldives membership applications and renewals.
  • Process audit licencing applications and renewal of licences.
  • Assist the Admission and Licencing Committee with matters related to CA Maldives members and auditors.
  • Provide administrative support to the membership and licencing function of the Institute.
  • Organize and maintain meeting schedules of committees.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting notices, presentations, briefing notes, meeting minutes, research papers and other related materials.
  • Coordinate with Chairs of committees to prepare recommendation papers and relevant documents for Council endorsement.
  • Work closely with Chairs of committees and management to ensure that committee work plans are executed as planned.
  • Assist in organizing events, training programs, and other Institute activities.
  • Manage internal and external correspondence and maintain proper records of documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the Institute's leadership in the execution of key strategic objectives of the institute.
  • Work with the management team to provide exceptional back-end support to the CA Maldives, including but not limited to, committee secretariat tasks, document preparation, and other special and ad hoc projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MNQF Level 7/8 qualification in a relevant field, (OR)
  • Diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, (OR)
  • A’Level 3 pass (including Dhivehi and Islam) / MNQF Level 4 Qualification in a relevant field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, (OR)
  • O’Level 2 pass (including Dhivehi and Islam) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

DESIRED SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Should possess excellent administrative skills and research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dhivehi (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • An interest in building a career in accountancy profession will be an added advantage

COMPENSATION

  • MVR 12,500 – MVR 15,000
