Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Corporate Affairs supports the Head of Corporate Services in the management of the organization's corporate responsibilities, stakeholder relationships, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and the development of the organization's corporate strategy and governance.

Corporate governance and compliance

  • Provide assistance in ensuring adherence to statutory, regulatory, and legal obligations. 
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing and updating corporate policies and standard operating procedures based on the Company’s needs and operational requirements.
  • Support the preparation of reports and filings required by regulatory authorities and shareholders within the reporting timelines.
  • Remain informed and brief about the most recent modifications to the relevant regulations and laws to guarantee that they are adhered to in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Management

  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of relationships with significant stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, shareholders, and other corporate partners.  
  • Foster stakeholder engagement by serving as the focal point, if necessary.

Strategic Support

  • Assist in the development and execution of corporate strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the progress of strategic objectives, which includes the collection of data from departments for periodic reporting.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Support in preparing detailed reports, presentations, papers and proposals for management and board meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

Others:

  • Assist in corporate events, including Shareholder meetings and special projects.
  • Manage and support all corporate communications initiatives as needed.
  • Help organize corporate travel arrangements.
  • Provide the Head of Corporate Services with regular updates regarding corporate affairs and general management.
  • To enhance the department's performance, organize and execute corporate affairs meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Corporate Governance, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate governance, legal compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary:  Salary ranging from 23,000 – 25,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
