Job Responsibilities

• Should be able to support the Technical Superintendents in the following areas of vessels in port or sail onboard a vessel if required.
• Provide Diagnostic support for electrical as well as mechanical problems
• Maintains work orders and records to ensure quality requirements have been met
• Maintaining vessel functional condition by listening to operator complaints
• Repairing mechanical, electrical systems malfunctions and engine failure
• Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Ensuring all repairs and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Being on standby for emergency mechanical failures to minimize downtime in port operations
• Complete duties as per the technical superintendent’s instruction

Required Qualifications

• Good knowledge of engine maintenance work
• Grade 7 standard educational background

Preferred Requirements

•  Minimum 2 years work experience in related proficiency
•  Engine Rating certificate or
•  Certificate or advance certificate in mechanical or marine engineering
