The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Corporate Affairs to join the Development Bank of Maldives Project. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible to provide administrative expertise to establish the institution and provide secretarial service to the Board of Directors.

Background
Development Bank of Maldives was incorporated with the objective of fostering economic development.
The aim of the Development Bank is to:
- Provide funding for infrastructure projects.
- Invest in sustainable economic and social development, addressing challenges related to financing Public Sector Investment Programs (PSIP) through syndicated financing.
- Encourage retention of foreign exchange within the country's banking system.
Job Description
The Manager, Corporate Affairs will play a pivotal role by extending support in the area of business administration by efficiently managing daily operations and tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare policies and procedures for bank’s functional areas
- Assist to develop and implement business processes
- Provide secretarial services to the Board of Directors and Standing Committees
- Ensure compliance to legal and regulatory requirements of the bank
- Ensure the bank's operations comply with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
- Coordinate and arrange internal and external meetings.
- Provide administrative support to engage with contractors and monitor deliverables where necessary
- Serve as primary contact for external parties.
- Provide support to manage international cooperation.
- Engage in bank’s budget planning process, maintain budget and track records of expenditure for corporate department.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating with stakeholders in the planning and execution of events, conferences, and symposiums
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the CEO
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent in the field of Business, Management, Business Administration, Human Resource, Information Technology, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; and
- A Masters Degree in a relevant field
Experience:
- A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial institution, independent institution, government, international organization or any other relevant private organization;
- A Minimum of 2 years’ experience at senior management position or demonstrated leadership qualities.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Familiarity with State Owned Enterprises, applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in commonly used office softwares
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & Divehi
- Upholds high ethical standards
Salary:
Between 30,000.00 to 40,000.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
Contract Duration:
The contract duration is specified for 1 year starting from commencement date.
