Position Type: Permanent (Initial contract shall be for a period of 1 (one) year. The contract shall be renewed as permanent based on performance upon successful completion of one year.)

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Law or Shariah and Law
  • Previous work experience in legal drafting will be an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent verbal & communication skills in English & Dhivehi
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Pleasant personality

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide paralegal and administrative support within the legal department, including drafting, reviewing, and filing contracts and court documents
  • Make arrangements for the Company Lawyer and External Legal Counsel in preparing for court cases and other legal matters
  • Assist the Company Lawyer and departmental heads to ensure efficient legal operations and effective case management
  • Organize and coordinate meetings between External Legal Counsel, authorities, and company staff on legal matters
  • Research and assist in gathering legal opinions in relevant information for ongoing cases
  • Manage filing of all the documents relating to legal section and keep the files updated and maintain organized and accessible information
  • Assist in all legal matters, company secretarial function, and carry out any other relevant work assigned by the Head of Legal and/or Management
