REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A SOFTWARE TO MANAGE ZAKAT IN THE REPUBLIC OF MALDIVES
The Government of Maldives has received fund from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards strengthening of zakat in the Republic of Maldives, and GoM intends to apply part of the proceeds of the funding to develop a software to manage zakat in the Republic of Maldives.
1. Objective
The objective of the Consultancy service is to design and develop a software to facilitate and account for the collection, distribution, and management of zakat with the function of registering the poor and needy.
2. Scope
The consultant’s primary responsibilities shall include, but not limited to, the studying and reviewing of the existing zakat framework of the country, reviewing the manual zakat recording system and to provide recommendation on the design for the development of a user-friendly zakat software for administrators and end-users including intermediaries. The Consultant’s responsibilities also include creating a comprehensive software facilitating the recording of zakat collection & disbursements including generation of statistics with reference to zakat operations in the Maldives.
3. Qualification
Consultants must have extensive knowledge and practical experience in software development proven experience in conducting similar assignments and projects.
4. Criteria for evaluation
The evaluation of submitted proposals will be based on consultant’s qualification.
