Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) for “the Appointment of a Service Provider to Perform External Quality Assessment of the Internal Audit Division of MTCC” from qualified parties.
The scope of the work will be to perform an independent quality assessment of the internal audit function of MTCC in line with the requirements of the IIA Standards and express an opinion on Internal Audit Division’s conformance with the IIA standards. In general, the assessment shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Level of conformance with the mandatory elements of IPPF
- Efficiency and effectiveness of internal audit activity
- Value addition to the achievement of company objectives
- Recommendation for improvements on the assessed areas
Eligibility of EOI
The applicant(s) should meet the minimum requirements below.
- The assessor or the assessment team (collectively) shall have the competency (experience and technical knowledge) in the professional practice of internal auditing and the external assessment process. As such, the assessor or the team shall:
- Have knowledge and experience of internal audit practices (shall have internal audit working experience of 4 years)
- Have Chief Internal Auditor (head of the internal audit function) experience of a corporate entity (at least 2 years’ experience)
- Have completed IIA’s Certified Internal Auditor Training
- Have experience with external quality assessment of internal audit functions of corporate entities
Documents to be submitted with EOI
The following documents should be submitted for the EOI to be responsive for invitation to the bid
- Expression of Interest (EOI) letter
- Business Registration Certification or ID or Passport (if an individual)
- Relevant supporting documents as evidence of knowledge and experience of the team
- Relevant supporting documents as evidence of previous experience of external quality assessment
- Proof of completion IIA’s Certified Internal Auditor Training
