Issuance of Permits Related to Expatriate Workers in the Maldives

The Ministry of Homeland Security & Technology is currently analyzing and reviewing the policies and procedural systems concerning the issuance of permits for expatriate workers in the Maldives. This initiative aims to establish a robust system that provides employers with accessible, swift, and efficient services, while ensuring accountability.

Due to this review process, please be advised that the processing duration for the issuance of quotas, work permits, deposit refunds, and other services related to expatriate workers may be temporarily extended. The Ministry is committed to minimizing any inconvenience this might cause and is actively working to expedite all service requests pertaining to expatriate workers.

The Ministry regrets any delays that employers may experience during this review process and appreciates your understanding and patience as we continue to enhance our services.
