Quantity Surveyor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant field with minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE
Responsible for determining the costs associated with installation, materials, and workmanship to formulate accurate quotations for each project undertaken by the company, while ensuring that they are well–planned and mutually beneficial for both the company and the contractors involved.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Prepare quantity take-offs including tentative and detailed costs for in-house and out-source projects.
• Prepare bill of quantities and bill of materials for in-house and out-source projects.
• Prepare cost comparisons and cost evaluations for tender evaluations.
• Prepare and review terms of reference and tender documents for construction projects.
• Prepare and review construction contract documents.
• Coordinate negotiations with contractors prior to signing contract for construction projects.
• Analyze current market rates and prepare rate breakdowns and databases.
• Provide project feedback to relevant departments during project formulation, and in preparation of reports to external parties (ministries, etc.).
• Conduct intersectional and interdepartmental coordination and follow-up.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract models.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office package.
• Familiar with Autocad and other relevant software.
• Should be an effective communicator verbally as well as through writing.
• Should be able to work as an individual and as a flexible team player.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong familiarity with project management software and technical know-how of the projects.
• Strong negotiation skills critical and analytic thinking and mathematical skills.

SALARY PACKAGE
Gross Salary between MVR 21,500.00 to 25,000.00 based on education qualification and experience.
