Upgrading of Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Gan, Laamu Atoll – 4th tender
The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MoECCT) has received financing from The World bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract for the project Upgrading of Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Gan, Laamu Atoll under Maldives Clean Environment Project.
The Ministry re-invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the 4th tender of this project.
Tender Document and Bill of Quantities (B.O.Q) is uploaded to the national gazette with this invitation.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bid Registration
Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 15th November 2023 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.
Pre-bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in NCIT building on November 7, 2023. Those Parties like to attened the pre-bid meeting virtually, using an online platform on 1300 Hours Maldivian time on November 6, 2023.
Bid Security or Bid Securing Declaration
The bid security of MVR 24,000 ( Twenty-Four Thousand) or equivalent in USD for the project. The bid security shall be valid for 118 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bidder may submit a bid securing declaration instead of bid security. “Form for Bid Securing declaration” attached in 40th page of the tender document shall be filled and submitted.
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the NCIT building, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time ) on 21 November 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 21st November 2023 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
