INVITATION FOR TENDER

HIRING A CONTRACTOR TO CARRY OUT CIVIL WORKS REQUIRED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CENTRAL STERILE SERVICES DEPARTMENT (CSSD) AT HULHUMALE’ HOSPITAL

State Trading Organization Plc. (STO) is pleased to offer the opportunity to submit proposals for carrying out civil works required for the development of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) at Hulhumale’ Hospital.

1.  Project Overview

Civil and interior works at Hulhumale’ Hospital Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) consisting of, demolishing existing interior masonry / partition walls & floor tiling, new masonry wall & RHS framed interior wall construction, masonry / plastering & flooring leveling after demolition, lighting & electrical works, finishing works (masonry, putty & painting), door & window, Medical standard Novilon flooring with Epoxy underlays, ceiling & wall tiling works for toilet & trolley washroom, suspended ceiling, duct ventilation for machinery,  new water connection and drainage for toilets & machinery, cctv installation.

2.  The Eligible Tenderers are limited to;

2.1   Parties who have completed at least 1 (one) similar nature project involving interior and civil works of medical facilities (Laboratories, operating theaters (OT), diagnostic center, Central Sterile Service facilities and ICU facilities etc.) of value MVR 2.5 (two & a half) million and above in the past 5 (five) years.

2.2   Completed works should include majority of the scope of works stated in the project overview where the party has worked as the main contractor.

3. Experience of the proponent will be validated by:

3.1   Reference letter/completion certificates or any documentation in the name of the Companies/Government Entities/Institutions/Commission etc. (any legal or government entity)

3.1.1         The reference letter must contain the following details

3.1.1.1     Project value

3.1.1.2     Contract duration

3.1.1.3     Actual work duration

3.1.1.4     Work commencement date

3.1.1.5     Actual work completion date

3.1.1.6     Work performance details

3.2   The tenderer shall submit the Project Data Sheet annexed in this tender notice with all the required details.

3.3   To assist in the assessment and eligibility of the bidder, STO may, at STO’s discretion, ask any proponent to submit any documents for clarification and verification.

Note: Project data sheet shall be completed and attached with each reference letter/completion document. STO reserves the right to reject letters/completion documents that does not accompany the project data sheet.
