CALL FOR EXPRESSION (EOI)TO DEVELOP, AND OPERATE AND MANAGEMENT OF M. VEYVAH LAGOON AS AN INTEGRATED TOURISM ZONE

The Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council (“hereinafter referred to as the “Council”) invites eligible investors, local or foreign to register their interest within 10 (ten) days by submitting a letter to design, development, operation, and Management of M. Veyvah Lagoon (LUP-72) (hereinafter referred to as the “Lagoon”) as an integrated tourism zone. 

(The Lagoon (LUP-72) -01 is attached as Annex I). 

Composition of the letter:

1. Letter of interest indicating:

Details of the individual or company or consortium including individual or company profile including Name, title address, email address, and telephone number.

1. The requesting individual or company must accept to pay the acquisition cost of the Lagoon.

Date of Closure for Receipt of Expression of Interest:

1. The Date of Closure for submission of EOI is 12^th September 2023, at 1330 hours.

All submissions of EOI shall be marked “EOI FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, OPERATION, AND MANAGEMENT OF INTEGRATED TOURISM ZONE” and addressed as follows:

Information session for interested EOI Parties

Hence, interested parties may attend an online information session that will be organized in the Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council, Mulak Atoll, Republic of Maldives. 20^th September 2023, at 1330 hours.

Evaluation Process

Upon receipt of the expression of interest, a preliminary evaluation based on the background and capacity of the parties will be conducted by the Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council. If the Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council decides to proceed with the development and operation of an Integrated tourism zone with the nominated EOI proponents, the opportunity to submit the proposals (bid document) shall be issued.

The Bid Documents can be obtained from the Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council. The Bid Documents will be available to purchase from 21^st September 2023, at 1330 hours.

The Bid applications are submitted to the Secretariat of Veyvah Island Council on the 22^nd of October 2023 at 1330 hours.
