Development of Domestic Airports in 7 regions of Maldives
Pursuant to clause 4(b) of the regulation R-125/2022 (Cross-Subsidization of island/land/lagoon allocated for tourism), we invite interested parties to submit expressions of interest or proposals for financing the development of 6 domestic airports as below.

Following key points must be considered in submitting Expressions of Interest or proposal.
- The minimum amount that can be submitted for financing for Hdh.Makunudhoo, Sh.Bileiyfahi, B.Thulhaadhoo, Th.Vilufushi. F. Magoodhoo and South Raa Atoll Airport is
US$ 3,000,000 (United States Dollars Three Million). The minimum amount that can be submitted for financing for V.Atoll Airport at Fotheyo Falhu is US$ 5,000,000 (United States Dollars Five Million) - All sections of the “Application Form” attached with this advertisement must be completed.
- Proposed financing will be set off against the acquisition cost as above, and any proceeds from committed financing exceeding the acquisition cost shall be set off against the lease rent as per regulation.
- The submission of EoI or proposal must clearly indicated the proposed Airport the financing is proposed for.
- This process shall be a continuing process and will remain open until its closure is publicly notified.
- Interested parties may submit the attached application form along with required documentation to the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, via e-mail to [email protected].
Assessment and Progression of Applications will be as follows:
a) Upon submission, Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure will ensure all relevant sections of the Application Form are filled supporting documents included.
b) Verification of validity of the Proof of Finance submitted.
c)All submissions fulfilling the requirements of the Application Form, and verified proof of finance, shall be considered for endorsement
d)All endorsed submissions shall procced with the Financing Agreement and the subsequent Tourism Agreements as regulation R-125/2022 (Cross-Subsidization of island/land/lagoon allocated for tourism).
