The Government of Maldives has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives; Atolls Education Development Project (AEDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The announcement no. (IUL) 22-E/22/2023/130 published on 3rd April 2023, Deadline extended.   

The consulting services (“the Services”) includes build capacity of secondary English teachers on teaching strategies for the students with complex learning profiles. The assignment is to be for 15 months and a Week duration.

The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be obtained at the address given below.

The Ministry of Education now invites eligible consulting firm (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:

Interested consultancy firm should submit following documents (Firm qualifications):

  1. A letter for applying to the consultancy
  2. Firm registration document (Valid)
  3. Short company profile
  4. Curriculum Vitae
  5. A copy of National Identity Card or Passport

       Technical Information and Key Staffs will not be evaluated at the Firm shortlisting stage.

 

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. 

Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the    association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.

 

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant’s Qualification-Based Selection (CQS) method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
