Request for Expressions of Interest

The Government of Maldives (GoM) is implementing the “Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY)” Project. The project is funded by the World Bank. The objective of the project is to improve the relevance of technical and vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors. The project is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the Ministry of Economic Development.

Advertisement no. (IUL)475/475/2023/28 published on 27^th February 2023 was cancelled due to no qualified application received, hence new invitation is open for interested candidates.

As part of this project MoHE seeks an Individual for the position of Procurement Officer to work in the implementation of the project. Your application should reach us before 12:00 pm, 15^th March 2023. Late submission will not be accepted.

Terms of Reference and Duration of Service

Interested individuals may download the terms of reference which outline the scope of service, the key qualifications, experience and terms of payment relevant to this position from the gazette. The service is for a period of ONE year. Any renewal will be based on a performance evaluation of the individual selected.

• Note: Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the ‘World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’ Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (hereafter referred to as the “Regulations”).
