Request for Expressions of Interest

The Government of Maldives (GoM) is implementing the “Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY)” Project. The project is funded by the World Bank. The objective of the project is to improve the relevance of technical and vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors. The project is being administered by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), with a Project Steering Committee that will be co-chaired by the MoHE and the Ministry of Economic Development.

As part of this project MoHE seeks an Individual for the position of ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS OFFICER to work in the implementation of the project.

Remuneration: MVR 17,550 – 20,160/-

Selection

Environmental and Social Safeguards Officer will be selected based on EOI submitted and after interview process.

* Note: Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the ‘World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’ Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (hereafter referred to as the “Regulations”).
