Salary & Benefits

• Net Salary Range: MVR 13,000 – 14,500
• Overtime and extra working days allowance

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the appropriate tool, equipment or method based on requirements for maintenance activities in the terminal
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
• Repair machinery and other components
• Completing safety observations and stopping unsafe work immediately
• Demonstrating the ability to work alone or in a team and demonstrating techniques to apprentices and occasionally assisting other trades and contractors when required
• Communicating effectively with Supervisors, Operations, and other Maintenance staff
• Ensuring all work is completed in a safe, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective manner
• Sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise to facilitate a high performing organization
• Do preventive maintenance inspectors based on the checklists provided  

Required Qualifications

• Completed O Levels

Preferred Requirements

• Able to work on odd hours
• Experience in industrial work or related field will be an added advantage
• Good knowledge of machines and manual tools
• Experience in shutdown and electric works
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design
• Ability to read and write in English and Dhivehi
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify corrective action, and analyze/ document complex inspection and repair information
