1. The Government of Maldives hasfinancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Refurbishment of Maldives Polytechnic S. Hithadhoo Campus.

2. The Announcement No. (IUL)475/475/2022/11 published on 20^th January 2022, has been cancelled due the changes made to the bidding document and the new announcement is open for interested vendors.

3. The Ministry of Higher Education now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Refurbishment of Maldives Polytechnic S. Hithadhoo Campus.

4. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, Revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Mr. Afaaf Mohamed, S. Procurement Specialist, Email: afaaf.[email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 – 1300 until 21^st October 2022 (Monday) 0900 Hoursat the address given below.

6. Information session will be held onsite at S. Hithadhoo Maldives Polytechnic Campus on 8^th November 2022 (Tuesday) at 1100 Hours. Bids will not be accepted by those parties who do not attend this information session/site visit.

7. The bidding document in English can be downloaded by interested Bidders from the Gazette page as well as upon the submission of a written application to the address below.

8. Bids must be delivered and will be opened at Maldives Polytechnic S. Hithadhoo Campus on 22^nd November 2022 (Tuesday) 11:00 Hours. Late Bids will be rejected

9. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 20,000/- (Maldivian Rufiyaa Twenty Thousand). All information regarding Bid Security is included in the bidding document.
