• Net Salary Range: 22,000 – 23,000

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe, cost efficient and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with Company’s HSSEQ System for a given number of vessels
• To manage the daily operation of the number of vessels assigned to him in accordance with Company’s HSSEQ System
• Advise Masters and Chief Engineers on important matters
• Follow up class and statutory certification status, condition of class and arrange for the necessary surveys
• Arrange and follow up repairs and services
• Visit vessels regularly (at least three times a year) and prepare visit reports
• Prepare half yearly, three times a year and quarterly management reports for the General Manager’s approval
• Prepare the dry-docking specification for the General Manager’s approval, submit the specification to yards for quotations, evaluate the received quotations and present them to the General Manager
• Attend the dry-docking, discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the General Manager for approval
• Prepare docking report
• Part of Company’s emergency response team (for the vessels he is responsible for)
• Follow up the onboard maintenance system (AMOS), monitor the status and act on overdue items
• Follow up reported deficiencies and non-conformities from vetting inspections, port state control, audits and flag state inspections and keep HSSEQ department advised of corrective action and closure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering, Electric/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, OR equivalent certificate

Preferred Requirements

• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Computer literate and familiar with window applications eg. Word, spread sheet, power point etc.
• Medical report
• Police Report
