MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s Degree or MNQF Level 7 Qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant field with minimum 2 years’ experience in Waste management or City Services Engineering or relevant field. (OR)
• Advanced Diploma or MNQF Level 6 Qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant field with minimum 5 years’ experience in Waste management or City Services Engineering or relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE
Responsible for planning and designing building and utility services under the guidance of the section head to ensure successful implementation of the projects carried out by the section.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Design, review and approve plumbing systems, including City-wide network (water/fire/sewer).
• Negotiate and develop project contracts and agree on these with clients and put out tenders.
• Preparing pressure loss calculations, riser diagrams, shop drawings, and As-built drawings.
• Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural/electrical/services engineers, architects, surveyors, and project teams.
• Ensure that the design and maintenance of the building/network system meet the legislative and health and safety standards.
• Advice on energy use and conservation of buildings and sites, to minimize the site's environmental impact.
• Use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the systems and/or schematics, schedules and others.
• Ensure proper documentation of all relevant activities.
• Engage with stakeholders with waste management strategy and policy formulation.
• Carry out any other relevant and necessary jobs for the overall completion of projects.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Experience in designing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting high-rise buildings plumbing and City network system is highly preferred.
• Experience in Water, Sewer and/or Storm water systems design would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD Mechanical, MS Project, Hevacomp Mechanical, Sewer CAD, Water CAD, Civil 3D, EPANET or any other software.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and specifications.
• Should be an effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing skills.
• Should be familiar with the Microsoft office package and any other work relevant software.

SALARY PACKAGE
Gross Salary between MVR 21,500.00 to 25,000.00 based on qualifications and experience.
