Job Opportunity - Executive Associate
CA Maldives is the statutory body mandated with regulating and developing the accounting profession of the Maldives. The Institute is also mandated with developing accounting and auditing standards applicable for the private sector and issuing licenses to provide audit and assurance services in the Maldives. The Institute was established on 8 September 2020, following the ratification of the Maldives Chartered Accountants Act (13/2020), by the President.
Under Act 13/2020, various committees have been formed to help Council govern the Institute. The Institute is looking for an individual who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the Committees.
Scope of Work

- Organize and maintain meeting schedules of committees. This includes the arrangement of logistics, refreshments, etc as required
- Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting notices, presentations, briefing notes, and other related materials
- Take notes and write meeting minutes in a timely manner and follow up on the tasks discussed
- Do industry-related research on standards, regulations, and international best practices as required by committees
- Work closely with chairs of committees and management to ensure that committee work plans are executed as planned
- Coordinate with chairs of committees to prepare recommendation papers and relevant documents for council endorsement
- Follow-up on important tasks assigned by committees and coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure tasks are well executed
- Manage internal and external correspondence and maintain proper records of documents
- Preparation of expense report for attending meetings and sending it timely to finance staff for payment
- Any other secretarial duties or ad-hoc tasks assigned by Management

Qualifications
|
- Bachelor’s Degree or MNQF Level 7/8 Qualification in a relevant field (OR) Diploma in a relevant field with over 3 years of experience
- Preference will be given to those candidates with a finance background or who are partly qualified in a professional accounting qualification or equivalent

- Should possess excellent administrative skills and research skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Dhivehi (Written and verbal)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across a variety of audiences and mediums, including presenting both in person and virtually
- High sense of confidentiality, initiative, and good judgment
- An interest to build a career in the accountancy profession
- Ability to remain professional when facing challenges
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn, become familiar with new technologies and uphold work quality
- Ability to work with little direct supervision and in team settings
