The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the - Maldives Clean Environment Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Design and Construction Supervision Consultant (Firm) for Island Waste Resource Management Centers to be established under the Maldives Clean Environment Project (MCEP).
The main objective of this assignment is to support MCEP’s Project Management Unit (PMU) by undertaking the Preparation of detailed designs and BOQ for 3 new WRMCs to be established under PSIP 2023, Preparation of detailed design and BOQ for 14 upgrading WRMCs and to Undertake construction supervision of 25 WRMC project (14 new Centers and 11 upgrading Centers)
The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested consulting firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: (i) Specific experience of the Consultant (as a firm) relevant to the assignment, (ii) Key experts’ qualification and competence, (iii)Management and Implementation Plan.
Consulting firms may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications. Proof of JV or Sub-consultancy must be submitted.
A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Consultancy Qualification based selection (CQS) method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016 and revised 2017.

The TOR for the consulting services is published in the National Gazette with this REOI.
