Department: Projects Department, Head Office, Male’

Salary: Competitive salary based on previous experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

1. Reports to and work under the supervision of the Department Head.
2. Initiate and participate / Lead Scoping meetings with relevant authorities.
3. Attending Project scoping meetings and subsequent meetings to EPA.
4. Travel to project sites and collect existing environment and social data required for the report as per Terms of Reference of the EIA provided by the Environmental Protection Agency.
5. Initiate meetings with the island councils required for the EIA report submission.
6. Compile the EIA report in accordance with the TOR of the EIA and application to EPA.
7. Prepare all the relevant documents related to EIA report submission and approval.
8. Attend to any other tasks relevant to EIA report works, as per the instructions of the department head.
9.  Assist the department staff with EIA report compilation works.
10. Monitor / Supervise any EIA related work done by the department staff.
11. Prepare and submit weekly progress report to the department head / supervisor.

Requirements

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or any other related field.
2. Previous experience in EIA report writing. (Minimum one year experience)
3. Must be able to travel to islands and carry out surveying, data collection and conduct public consultations.
4. Experience in GIS and surveying software’s including AutoCAD is an added advantage.
