INVITATION FOR BIDS

Supply of Computer Systems - Retender

1. The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received grant funds from multi-donor Climate Change Trust Fund, administered by the World Bank, towards the cost of Clean Energy for Climate Mitigation (CECM) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the Contract for the Supply of Computer Systems. The Ministry of Environment and Energy did not receive sufficient response for the subjected project (Ref No.: (IUL) 438/438/2014/98) and has decided to re-invite bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply of Computer Systems in accordance with the specifications in the Bidding Documents.

2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

3. A complete set of the Bidding Documents in electronic format will be sent to interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below not later than 1500 Hrs on October 9, 2014. Interested eligible bidders may also obtain further information from this address.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 91 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Environment and Energy at the address specified in clause 3 of this invitation, on or before 1100 hours Maldivian time on October 14, 2014, and will be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives who wish to attend the bid opening.
