Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating and maintaining the engine room and other mechanical systems and equipment
• Compliance with flag state and classification society regulations
• Supervising all the engineering aspects of the ship including the repair, maintenance, safe operation, and efficacy of all the main propulsion systems, water making equipment, electrical appliances, and the deck equipment
• Require extensive knowledge of the inventory needed for any length voyage and you will be in charge of ordering and collecting these necessary supplies
• Chief Engineer is in charge of the entire engineering crew, and is a vital crew member during any maneuver or emergency
• Operational and maintenance administration and paperwork
• All other responsibilities that may be assigned by the vessel's Captain

Required Qualifications

• Passport, CDC, COC, PSCRB, AFF, PSSR, MFA, EFA, SDSD, SSA, PST, FPFF

Preferred Requirements

• Previous vessel experience
• Ability to work with odd workers without losing focus
• Physically fit and strong
• Good Communication skills
